The village is able to accommodate 84 children without parents or parental care, seven in each family. In the middle of the village there is a large playground equipped with contents available for all children from the surrounding. At these moments, in the village are leaving 60 children aged from 2 to 15 years, with 12 SOS mothers.

The children remains in SOS Children Village until they turn 14 or 15 years and two years in advance they are prepared to be transferred in the Youth Programs. Currently we have 2 Youth Programs located in area of Radisani and the area of Bardovci. In each Youth facility there are 5 educators who provide support for children in their everyday needs, teach them life skills, work with them and support them on their professional orientation.

Also, the children in SOS Children Village are supported after they turn 18 year, within the program of Semi- independent living. This program includes 18 year old and older children, who are studying and young people who are working. This program lasts for maximum 4 years, in which period they receive financial and psycho-social support. Special accent within this program is giving assistance in finding employment and home in order to ensure stability and conditions for full integration into community.

The life in children village is based on the following four principles:

1. Mother Every child has a parent who takes care of him

SOS mother build close relationship with every child, providing necessary security, love and stability. She is professional caregiver, she lives with the children, guiding their development and self-managing the household. She recognizes and respects family history, cultural roots and religion of every child.

2. Brothers and sisters. Family relations developed naturally

Boys and girls at different age live together like brothers and sisters ( biological brothers and sisters also live together, in one family). These emotional relationships that are built in this family last for lifetime.

3. House Every family makes their own home

The house is the home of every family with their own atmosphere, rhythm and routine.
Under the house roof children gain a real sense of security and belonging. Children grow and learn together, share their responsibilities and all the joys and sorrows of everyday life.

4. Village SOS Family is part of the community

SOS Families lives together, creating pleasant environment where children enjoy a happy childhood. The families share experiences and help each other. They are integrated members of local community with their own contribution. Thru the family, village and community, every child learns to participate actively in society.
